Cha’chaany Hamuk Trailhead Improvement Project
The National Forest Foundation teamed up with the Cleveland National Forest to improve public access to the Cha’chaany Hamuk trailhead (formerly known as the Three Sisters Falls trailhead). The former trailhead did not include trash or sanitation facilities, despite high visitation of up to 400 people per day in peak season. The improvement project created trailhead amenities to withstand high visitation and protect the natural areas, and created safety infrastructure in the case of accidents and wildfires.
